Dogge Bagge was Bob Denton (see below), Volker Toermer (who sadly passed away in 2006) and Stef. Dave Waters joined them on Mandolin. Dave was also a member of Cutty Wren with Neil, Ruth Coetzee (nee Allen) and Jim Purvis.

Bob Denton (< then and now>) - guitar, mandolin, claw hammer banjo, tin whistle, et al. Flat picking virtuoso and Bluegrass mentor.

Bob started the Barleycorn Music Club in 1975, originally in the old De Villiers Graaff Estate House, which at the time was the only house on Woodbridge Island, Milnerton, Cape Town. He also founded the bluegrass band "Dogge Bagge" with Volker Toermer. Bob compered and performed in many SA Folk Festivals. Bob now lives in the USA and continues to play with many well known musicians.

Squirrel Skinners.

Included Steve NewmanLindsey Scott on Fiddle and Thys Rhurup on Banjo.

Stef on bass. The "Skinners" later toured Europe, but without Steve.

Yeast - a forgotten band formed in 1979 was Steve Newman, Volker Toermer on Banjo, Paul Slatter on fiddle and Stef.
Priscilla and the Presstuds.

Formed in the late '80's was Caroline Blundell, Terrence Scarr and Stef.  Who was Priscilla? They were often joined by Neil and Nielen. Nielen is pictured on Banjo in the photo far right - (Beattie Theatre 1987). Caroline, Terrence and Sez Adamson again joined us in 2009 for the recording of Blacksmith's latest CD/DVD.

Harry Peters and Sandi Ruttenberg, friends from the Cape Town and PE music scenes. Harry lives in Villiersdorp and Sandi in the USA.
